Media and broadcasting

State media belong to the Publieke Omroep Stichting, the broadcasting foundation set up in 2021. It owns the Courant van Lazia, the newspaper of record, together with the Mahusetan Broadcasting Service (MBS), the national public broadcaster, the Lazian Newswire and Kompasstad's Weekly Briefing.

Reference works

Two standing reference projects record the Confederation itself: the National Mahusetan Wiki, and the Purple Factbook, the national almanac and atlas. Official documents, among them the consolidated text of the Constitution, are issued separately under publications.

Digital services

Much of the Confederation's recent state-building has been digital, as set out in the overview. Three projects stand within it.

• id.mi is the national e-ID and authentication system.
• Giroporte is the payment infrastructure.
• Futamar is a prediction market operating under state supervision.

Digital affairs became a portfolio of its own in August 2025, when the government passed responsibilities it had until then run directly to individual ministers. No timetable for the digital programme is published on this site.

Cultural projects

The Chadbury Music Festival is the Confederation's music festival.

Most other cultural work is administered rather than staged: a register of twenty-five national symbols, a college of arms, and a calendar of eleven public holidays. These are set out under culture and symbols.

Joint projects with the Batyr Bloc

Mahuset agreed the Batyr Bloc on 2 November 2020, alongside Hasanistan and Brennonia. It was never meant as a political union. The arrangement covers diplomatic co-operation, joint projects and cultural exchange.

The early joint projects were sporting competitions and an intermicronational hub, together with a shared press association named for Van der Huijsen and Çakar. The Van der Huijsen-Çakar Press Association was revived in July 2026 to pool coverage between the Mahusetan, Hasani, Brennonian and Knuffeldierlandic titles.

Community work

Some of the Confederation's work is addressed directly to the people who take part in it. The Shared Spaces Code of Conduct was published as guidance in June 2026. Guidance on booking a community space for a public event followed later that month, and an online form for reporting issues on shared land opened in July 2026; both were announced under news.

The Confederation has no premises. Its meetings, debates and daily business are conducted online, and much of its cultural and intellectual life takes place on its Discord server.
